My girlfriend did very well this year... I got a USA Kilts American Heritage and USMC kilt pin. She rocked it!

Nothing kilt-related, but my two favorite gifts were from my kids ... whose presence is generally the best gift of all. Last month my daughter got to a concert that I would love to have attended, by the highly unconventional Canadian band The Hidden Cameras, and she bought me a t-shirt.

My son bought me the self-titled debut CD by a band I had never heard of, Dead Man's Bones, consisting of two Canadian actors - Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields - backed by the Silverlake Children's Choir from LA in a series of oddly ghoulish songs ("My body's a zombie for you"!) I'm listening to it now, and it's fabulous, as well as fabulously strange.

Kids who understand and feed parental weirdness are truly to be treasured.

I tried to not get anything for Christmas... but mom insisted on getting me a Garmin with traffic... It was helpful already on my drive from south of Hot Springs, Arkansas to Kankakee, Il.. I am much better at giving than receiving... and the grandbabies and my girlfriends kids had a nice Christmas.. isn't all about the kids? lol
Woodsheal, I like your coo hair sporran.. I would wear that.. very nice

Although I bought it, it was a Christmas gift. I would like to thank Paul again for all his work in getting the jackets and posting them to members. I previously mentioned that the vest was a bit small but thanks to a talented seanstress, it now fits wonderfully. And so, my new navy blue PC.

L to R: Pink Death, yours truly, CAWFH.
Cheers aye.

Although not under the Christmas tree, I look very much forward to receiving my new semi dress sporran in January, which will be a present from my father.
