I took some photos yesterday afternoon of me wearing it. I just need to upload them to post, which I may do later this morning.
Yes, the opening is a bit narrow compared to the other FB sporrans. My hands are large, but lean, and I can still get them in there just fine, though.
I have to remind myself that I've really been spoiled. I wear FB sporrans pretty much all the time and most of the ones I have are FB styles with pretty large openings -- the Duin Uasail Mor, the Ben Glass, and the Inverarnan particularly. The Inverarnan is the "large mouth bass" of the sporran world. :-)
This present Glen Lean is built more like a typical day sporran and so has an opening like a typical day sporran. As I said, smaller than many of his other models, but still large enough to get my hand in. The addition of the interior pocket helps, too, because I can use it to organize a bit and I don't have to "fish around" looking for what I need.
Pictures to come!

Finally pictures!
As the saying goes, without pictures it didn't happen. So here they are!

As an aside, the above outfit represents pretty well my usual mode of dress for the warm months of the year. For the colder months, change the shirt to long sleeve and add a sweater or a tweed kilt jacket.
Close up of the sporran.

View from the top down, showing the inside pocket.

Photograph on a grid so you can get an idea of the size. Each square is 1".

I really am liking the inside pocket for the added convenience. It can serve to protect things, like your cell phone, from being scratched up by your car keys, etc. You can also use it to keep things better organized by keeping things handy that you want to be able to reach in and grab without having to fish through everything else you have in your sporran.
I'm wearing it again today, and am still impressed. :-) This is very easy to open and close. The brass knob holds the flap shut securely, but it easily comes open with just a small tug. No buttons, snaps, or toggles to fuss with.
My wife saw it and said, "That's a little plain for you, isn't it?" :-) But again, that's just what I was after. A plain, simple sporran that doesn't sacrifice quality and craftsmanship in any way. On that score I grade this A+.
