Our holiday in Scotland, May 2012
As requested, a sampling of photos from our vacation in Scotland this month. These are only a few of the 1000+ photos I took over the course of 9 days. If you discount the day spent travelling to and from, we had a full week in Scotland to enjoy. We were based in Crieff for much of the time, and from there we got to see quite a bit. We did spend a couple of days out west, as you will see.
First one, from the Scottish Crannog Centre in Kenmore.

I've always been fascinated by crannogs and it was nice to see this reconstruction. The staff there is very knowledgeable, and they have a really nice gift shop featuring quite a bit of locally made crafts.
Next up, a scenic bridge in the Sma' Glen. You can see one of Gen. Wade's roads in the background.

We did spend a day driving south to the Borders and on the way I popped in and visited our friends at D. C. Dalgliesh. Took several photos, but I thought you'd all enjoy this one.

One of the local residents of the town of Langholm.

We spend one morning taking a hike along the Glen Lednock circular walk in Comrie. The following are from that venture.

That same afternoon we went to see Drummond Castle Gardens, which were quite lovely.

More to come!
