So, I'm in for 4 yards doublewide - are you taking commitments, money... ?? Tell us how to enlist in this most cool effort.
Thanks.

Though I am not in the Marine Corps, my father is a Marine (always), I have loads of friends that are still active; therefore, I like the "Dress" blue and can't wait to watch you make it. I would be partial to the little gold strip that was suggested to 'brighten' it up a bit and give it flash on movement. I would still make one for my father and I and my two sons just the same.
Well thought out. How many yards for a 30" waist? Humm, just thinking here.

So any SAMS members who can put up a notice of this lovely tartan with the pic on the SAMS Facebook page?
I'm positive this tartan will be outstanding worn with the SAMS khaki shirt.

Probably not the acronym you meant, though.

Folks, We don't even have any of this fabric in hand yet.
May I please ask that if you are interested in some of this first run that you send me an email at the shop. I'll put you on a list and when the fabric arrives and I've had a chance to get some pics up I'll go down the list in order. You can then tell me if you are still interested after seeing the pics of the actual fabric.
I never intended this thread to become a sales pitch. I'm happy that so many like this tartan and wish to have some. Let's just be realistic and wait till about the first week of Aug when the fabric should arrive.

Oh great! Way to be a tease. Of anybody, you clearly should have know what your post and the photos would do. You may claim innocence, but that cannot be believed.

I know it's not 1 August yet, but is there any word from the mill?

I think I should be cruel and make you wait till the 1st Geoff.
I sent an update request to the weavers just today. It is one week till Kilt Kamp and I'm starting to wonder if I will have fabric for the Kamp.
