If not Scots blood at least Scots whiskey.
So the more whisky you drink - the more scottish you become, is that right?

That's right you become taller, sexier, more bulletproof and more Scottish. Not necessarily in that order. 8)

Oddly enough, when I've taken on more of a load than is strictly good for me, I tend to speak with a mild Scots burr, sort of like the preaching voice of lots of Methodist ministers educated at Emory in the 50's and 60's developed.
Strange, but I've no explanation for it. I've never be to Scotland, and to the best of my knowledge, none of my family has been there since 1803 at the latest.
At least I've outgrown the notion that drink makes me ten feet tall and bullet-proof. Wonder when I'll grow through the alcholic delusion that I can carry a tune.

Doc,
I certainly hope that you have room in your sporran to carry that tune

I'd need a cotton basket to carry a tune.
The pianoplayer at the church I grew up in described my voice this way:
I've heard folks who sang on the black keys, and I've heard folks you sang on the white keys. But you sing in the cracks.
To paraphrase the song, when I've got a couple of drinks on a side o' me, I enjoy singing, whether anyone else enjoys it or not.

Probably never, I still have the delusion I can sing after a few drinks.

Alcohol is the social lubricant that allows the karoke machine to run - the more you drink, the louder you sing, the more off-key you become and the better you think you are!
