    Another kilt on order

I hope Rocky can forgive me, since I have in the past and continue to sing praises to his kilts, but I've decided to order locally.

Australia's premier kiltmaker, All Things Tartan http://www.allthingstartan.com.au/
made me an offer hard to refuse.

For my work in promoting the kilt down Under they are offering me a 13 oz Strathmore Wool kilt, hand sewn, 8 yard in Ancient Morrison (the tartan I have lusted after for a while) for 440.00 AUD.

While I was aware of the mortal danger from my wife I was subjecting myself to, I went ahead and ordered.

Surprise of surprises - my wife guessed I was about to order another kilt (she reads minds) and was fairly accepting of the idea....YES!! success in convincing her that I am handsome and sexy in a kilt!!

All Things Tartan are not as sharp as USAK with delivery, I shall have to wait until December for the kilt. They have a big order of 100 kilts to make for the Australian Army (???? must find out more) but said they would slip mine in before that.

Here come the wait....where's the whisky, this kilt business drives one to drink!!! (only kidding)

Graham, all wives read their husbands minds. Wedding rings are a marvel of technology that open a direct channel to a husbands thoughts. Women have kept this secret from men and Govt for centuries and continue to guard the secret closely.

Thanks for the website Graham, another for my collection. Was looking at their "kilt specials" and "second hand kilts" sections...gotta get out my currancy converter...AND lose some more weight.

Don't currently have one of those "wife" critters you guys are talking about, but certainly in the market.

If anyone's wife has a single sister looking for a kilted old bird....

    Graham,

Congratulations on having one aspect of your lifestyle recognised in this way. It is well deserved.

I too have been offered discounts (and on two occasions, a free kilt) in return for giving honest criticism of a kiltmaker's design or craft. I am currently 'test driving' a kilt, have already made suggestions and have been promised that another kilt will be made up for me incorporating my suggestions! I see nothing wrong in that at all, and I am humbled that kiltmakers who come up with new ideas, seek my opinions.

Do not feel guilty, either, at buying from a kiltmaker other than your favourite one. By so doing, you are hardly transferring your loyalty after all, and I am sure you will return to Rocky for a subsequent purchase. Personally, I shall always be loyal to my two or three favourite kiltmakers (they produce different types of kilts anyway), but that does not stop me adding to my Kilt Kollection by occasionally going elsewhere.
