Being the paranoid type I was starting to worry about the pins breaking off so I took it out to the garage, mixed up the tiniest bit of epoxy and put a layer over the base of the pin and the crest itself, once that epoxy sets I don't think anything can break those pins off.
My kilt pin finally made it back from its side trip to a graduate level Psych class at Argosy University. I don't know if it learned anything, but it arrived with the pins intact and it looks great. Thank you, KCW for all the work you did in getting these orders together.

Looks great - it was in my mailbox on 2/23 in NY. I don't abuse my pins but I might take that epoxy idea to heart if there is any fragility to the posts.
