A few pictures as promised
I promised some pictures in my newbie's first posting a few days ago. These are they. I have thus far been mostly very casual, and Hamish is very polite about it, however there are moves afoot to smarten up the act! I feel the need!

This is my Baillie just near the top of the Aerial Tramway at Palm Springs on a warm day

And so is this. Baillie is tha tartan I grew up with.

This is my Ross at Joshua Tree Natioanal Park just north of Palm Springs on a very hot day

The Ross again with you know who keeping order

My new Isle of Skye in you know who's garden

Isle of Skye again on Brighton and Hove sea front on a typical Britsh November day.
I have other kilts, notably the leather Utilikilt. I hope to have something on that soon.

Me...
No smiles, sorry. I just don't like being on the wrong side of the camera.
Lennox District tartan - hidden by Bernese Mountain Dog, unfortunately.

Mugshot for traffic signal collector's group. MacKenzie worn in my usual way - now use a belt with a normal buckle.

Armstrong tartan, taken @ Port Angeles by our own Al G. Sporrano.

Really I'm not all that scary...
This is my leather Utilikilt, old style with thonging and one back pocket. The boots are WestCo and the jacket is a Langlitz, both made on Oregon, both of some vintage.

Obviously not for every day, but might work at the right kind of cocktail party

Pictures of me are in short supply- I'm usually the guy behind the camera.
A fairly typical daytime/outdoor kilt ensemble for me. Weathered Lamont wool kilt, Buzz Kidder sporran with black chain, brown belt with tarnished brass buckle.

DISCLAIMER: This picture is Photoshopped- I was standing in front of my garage when the picture was taken 4 days ago (timer/tripod), I shot the background image 3 months earlier at Fort Snelling Park by the visitor center.
I am teaching myself how to use Photoshop and this was a practice piece. I spent way too much time on it!
