18.5 ounce hemp.

Check out the 20 ounce hemp herringbone fabric. I desire a kilt made out of that.

Thanks for the links. I have some green hemp/cotton jersey fabric sitting around , but the green canvas ... now that would make a "tank."

Yes ...but...really what's the point? carbon fibre is lighter and probably the way to go although still in the experimental stage at the moment.

this is not my kilt, just one I noted a while back on the UK site (had to use the search to find it today). the caption on the pic at the original link I posted had this advice: "custom dye job on a white workman's. the uneven color is only because the kilt is still drying. if you get lucky and get your hands on a white and want to dye custom, use DYLON not Rit!"
