According to his "Pipers and Buglers" page http://web.me.com/masterkiltmaker/lo..._services.html he was a bandsman (the photo referenced leaves the impression he is a bugler.)

I agree with Barb. Just seeing the term used "loosely" got me to wondering.

Robert MacDonald says on his website http://www.westcoastkilts.com/ "For the past several years, I have been mentored by a Regimental Master Tailor of the British Army."

Which fits with what he told Steve on the phone.

So it looks like when a kiltmaker or middleman kilt seller mentions "Master Kiltmaker" it'd be best to ask just what they mean by that.

Has anyone else noticed that the URL www.masterkiltmaker.com redirects to http://web.me.com/masterkiltmaker/london_highland_wear_/The_Master_Kilt_Maker.html? Going to the base of that URL (http://web.me.com/) results in http://www.apple.com/mobileme/ which is the Apple MobileMe website.

    Draw your own conclusions....
