Hose up or down?

I know it's pretty late in the conversation, but I think this would be a great poll,
like the "Mixing leathers" xman set up.
Jus' sayin'...

And for my two cents, my hiking socks just clear the top of my jump and combat boots, not scrunched, but not really obvious.
I consider hose & flashes Dressy.

Personally I would never do anything else than hose up.

I can see that you have some military background as well "thescot". That might be a direct result to why you wear hose up; your outfit is supposed to be sharp. For me it is more like a uniform than some kind of fashion, so I do my kilt respect by wearing it traditionally. Just like my uniform.
