I have a good friend who is really really big. He could be wearing a bugs bunny costume and not get any guff! Imagine a cross between a gorilla and a wookie.

Strangely, he says he "could never pull off wearing a kilt." I usually just tell him that if Shrek could do it...
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

You could say, "Of course it is. As is the Class "A" and Dress Blues US MARINE uniform, the Sioux Nation hunting apparel, the Tuxedo at a dinner for the dignitaries, the jersey's, shorts and shoes worn by the World Cup players, and so very many others in our experiences. But, what you're wearing is simply ordinary. You are not in a costume of any real definition. It probably sucks to be you, doesn't it?"
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

I thank the wannabe Mr. Blackwells for their worthless opinion and move on.

I get paid to educate the ignorant, but I'll give freebies to those I like. Anyone that'd find fault with someone's mode of their dress to their face is, by default, not someone I like, and I won't waste any more time on them than I absolutely must.

best option is just be proud of how good you look and ignore them, I've found on nights out that the level of female attention wearing a kilt attracts is by far the most effective method of shutting up foolish people
