While not always the case i find this statement to be generally true and in my opinion freinds, REAL friends, build you up not tear you down. As has been mentioned take pride in who you are and never let anyone make you compromise what you believe and love for the sake of fitting in. I get nothing but grief for my kilt when i wear it from particualrly from my wife and her side of the family. but no one questions my choices because they know it would do them no good. I am who i am and won't let anyone change that.
