Critique my Summer Kilt Wear II

When I roll the sleeves of my long-sleeve, button down shirts, I only roll them up once. I do not like the "feel" or the "look" of the rolls above my elbow.

a) we are way past silly and nitpicking
B) go ahead and let that second button loose. You are not in danger of going all Tom Jones on us, but some shirts are now made to either 1) be buttoned to the very top or 2) have two buttons undone. The dead giveaway is the short space between that second button and the top one. And the lines Sydnie noticed.

I cannot bring myself to wear a waiscoat without a tie. I do wear mostly short sleeve shirts. For casual, I wear polo shirts. I always wear hose and flashes with black shoes. I do like the look of short sleeve shirt, tie and waistcoat without a jacket.

Agreed, waistcoat without a tie always looked a bit strange to me too- perhaps it's just a bit 90s... (Chandler from "friends"...).

For the second- it's what we wore in the band when the weather was hot (short-sleeves, tie, waistcoat, no jacket) and always felt like a bit of a dork. We were actually allowed to wear long sleeves rolled up if others had short sleeves- I much prefer that and that is what I did!

Thank you for this thread. I really like the last two of the latter three photos. I'd switch out the green flashes back for the red or something like that. Love the waistcoat and rolled up sleeves, too. I did that at a gathering a couple of weeks ago. Got some nice compliments. Good choices all around, much better than the green. I find I learn a lot from threads like this. Good on 'ya! Thank you!
