I was thinking of the same kind of thing, preferably with a anodized black finish. . .
Oh, and I just noticed that one DOES come in black. Cool!

If you are refering to the "Notes" section on the page I linked to, you might have missed the following...
"3. Optional colors: Antique Brass, Black Nickel, Antique Copper and Copper finishes available. Minimum order required - Call for pricing and delivery schedule "
They don't say what their "minimum order" is, though.

Brass versions of the clips might work for people, too... http://www.united-states-flag.com/br...bolt-snap.html

Well, for only two of them, I'd still be willing to pay the no doubt vastly inflated retail price for them in a hardware store.

So I'm kilted today for Tartan Day (Scott Modern tank) and business takes my by the probation office. Lady probation officers love the kilt and rave about it. Juvenile probation boss is of Scottish ancestry too and asks me if I know about this 5.11 Tactical Kilt. Tell him I've heard of it. He wanted to order one to wear ON DUTY but apparently there's a huge backorder and waiting list. As a joke he also put the Adult Probation boss' name on the waiting list...
But how cool is it that in my little remote town at least one probation officer is considering wearing a kilt while on duty!!??

I just got a "tactical" sporran from Stillwater!
Looks fine. Very industrial, without spikes and such.
LOVE it!
It has spurred me into some sort of action.
