Hank,
Thanks for making this work.
I agree that the synergy of a group is fantastic.

Well I am a little behind on this thread but I thought I would put my two bits in. I am 100% behind any pin that is made from this forum. I will purchase at least one but probably more, seeing as I have more than one Kilt and each Kilt needs its own pin(as discussed in a certain thread a while ago).
Hank, I think that whatever choice gets made about the pin will be made with the best of everyones comments and input in mind. I know you are the right person to make that happen because this is your forum and you seam to know how we all like things to be. Good job on everything so far and here's to the future Kilt pin that we will all proudly wear!

Since it originates from an Internet website, it should have a "WWW" somewhere in the design. And to heighten the TechGeek factor, the pin should incorporate a USB memory stick too!

Where did you say your location is?
What about a built in mp3 player with some good celtic music thrown in?

I have always wanted a tiny music player that can play bagpipe music. That way, when folks ask "where are your bagpipes", or "do you play the bagpipes" or any of the other bagpipe questions, then we could just hit the PLAY button on our kilt pin, and our pours the pipes. Imagine the look of surprise! I know, I am getting silly, but it is fun. I like the circle with the x in/over/around it.

New X Marks the Scot Kilt Pin
Regarding the shape of the pin, there is the excellent precedent for a circular design in the penannular pin, which is uniquely Celtic. (I use antique penannulars as kilt-pins on two of my kilts.)

Hank,
Have you been in touch with Billy?
If so, what is happening with the pin?
The reason I ask is that I have need for one pin now and will need another when my new kilt arrives. I have not been able to find anything I like as yet and I am looking forward to our design.

Hank,
If you're in or around Glasgow, you would be more than welcome to come to our casting factory and see our the kiltpins are made.
Regards,
Billy
