Didn't want to start a new thread, but I was curious what color hose folks have worn with the SWK Irish National Kilt. Mine arrived yesterday. I've got Black, but wasn't sure if that was too dark, or pipers white. Or I can just wear black socks pushed down with my black docs.
KT, for reference, I wore black hose and a black Izod type pullover with mine on this past Friday to our office St. Pat's get together. Shoes were black, ankle high Rockport hiking boots. Hose were pushed down. Got nothing but good compliments, and I have to say I love the USAK off the rack. The velcro gives some adjustment, and the sewn down pleats keep it looking great no matter what. I also wore it with brown sporran and belt.
I think that you can also wear it with bottle green hose, depending on the shirt. I also considered a gold pair of hose. A very versatile kilt. The only improvement for a frequent kilt wearer is wider belt loops, and Rocky has offered to put them on, if requested.
