Tunes of Glory is one of the few Alec Guiness movies I have NOT seen. Is it available on DVD?

Just went to see "The Queen" tonight at local theater. Though set in modern times (surrounding the death of Princess Di) there are lots of kilted men and variations of kilt wearing (especially during the stag "stalking" scenes). Worth a look . . . and the movie was pretty good, too.

I just watched Rob Roy, I had seen it a long time ago, when I was a kid. But today I rented and watched it again. I gotta say, what a great movie! And I was pleasntly supprised to notice that my clans castle was featured in the movie. I totally wasnt expecting it, because as I said, when I saw the movie in the past, I was only a kid, and didnt have any knowlege of my heritage really.

For me it has to be a tie between Rob Roy and So I Married An Ax Murderer. I haven't seen Tunes of Glory yet but I hear that it is remarkable.

Stay tuned...the St. Andrew's Society in Springfield may be doing a "kilt night at the movies" next year featuring the greatest kilt movie of all time!

Would that be something about hunting the Greater Acryli-Beast? (Boy, the book-to-movie time gets shorter all the time.)

The studio is still doing script rewrites. The last I heard :
They want to combine Mike1 and Spasm's characters to make a old doddering bumbling Moderator.
Jason Issacs is already in negotiations to play Freelander Sporrano.
The characters of Mr. Splash, Mr. BEEDEE, and Mr. Mender have been changed to women to be played by Jessica Biel, Charlize Theron, and Miranda Otto.
cajunscot is now going to be a laptop supercomputer code named c.a.j.u.n.s.c.o.t.
Five car chases have been added, including one before the opening credits and one set in the Library at the Great Hall of X Marks the Scot.
Coca Cola has apparently given a lot of money for product placement, they want the Saltire to look like a big Coke bottle.
Colin is now going to be Austrailian
They want to set everything in outer space.
I thought that I should play myself, but the studio doesn't think I would be believeable in the role. Eddie Izzard has been following me around for the last few weeks studying me. Apparently he feels he can portray the true essence of myself that I have been unable to project.
I'll keep you posted if the project gets the green light.
Cheers
Jamie
