They'd probably rip us all a new one, from what I've seen. I doubt they're fans of kilts OR shoes w/toes in them. ;)

Last nite at the movies, I wore sandals. I also wear steeltoe Doc Martins with pushed down socks.

It's hiking boots for me, when I'm not at a hatch, match or dispatch party, then it's my brogues.
My boots are a dark blue which picks out the blue in my blue/green/brown Hunting Fraser kilt. They go as well walking down Prince's Street as they do on the hill.
Mind, I think I need a lie down after reading that the bloke in California wears flip-flops!
Cheers

Well, you better get a good long rest, as it's done not just in California. We in New York do it too, when the heat is on
like it was this weekend.

Give me time, guys, give me time
I'm beginning to realise I have to think outside of my island box at how Highland wear is worn elsewhere. Actually, I have no problem seeing how things have developed away from Scotland, it just takes a little getting used to, thass'all!
Cheers

I usually wear my Doc Martens, or an old pair of oxfords in a pinch.

Think about where you are going and what you are doing?
Comfort and practicality should be considered before style!
