"Ya can't measure a Warrior's heart in inches." Say that's a pretty good quote!

    Glad I made it!

The problem is that 5'6" may be accurate, but the "34" may be a size and not the actual measure. A kilt needs a real number of inches for the waist, hips, and length. A gent I work with wears a size 34, and wears his trousers at about the widest part of the hips, not at the waist, which is probably closer to a 28 or 29.

I will be there, I picture quite a few of the rabble will show up. Especially the veterans.

Smile Message from Skauwt & Update on SPC Boyd

Received the following message from Skauwt outside Glasgow:

    hi there
just to let you know i`ll be posting the kiltpin either this week or the start of next ,the weather has been really great so ive been avoiding heading to into glasgow to pick up the kilt pin as in this weather glasgow tends to be rather busy with shoppers and the trains stuffy
i`ll let you know when i post it, so you know when to expect the pin
    all the best
    scott

    Update on SPC Boyd:

Realizing that Zach will not take a standard drop with his height of 68", I've asked him for the Full Monty of measurements. Awaiting his reply. We will have to pay Rocky the rush fee. We've got enough money to get him a USA Semi-Traditional and a Sport Kilt for knocking around in. (Or we could get him a Celtic Croft economy kilt in Boyd tartan for a knock around kilt.) Too bad he didn't take a standard drop, or we could have got him a Stillwater Heavyweight.

    Col MacNeal -

Sorry for not making the Finn McCool meeting. I wound up having to baby sit during my Step-Daughter's Grad or I would have come. I have the "X Marks The Scot" badge that I will not be using, ready for him. I can either give it to him or I can wait till the gathering. Do we know his head size, by chance??

    Wolfie,

No biggie. I got to enjoy a Guiness and a Shiner Bock in the 35 minutes I was waiting for you. No hat size yet, nor true waist, hips, or drop, but there is still a little time.

Are you a veteran, WolfHawk? If so, which service/conflict period?

    Cheers, ColMac

I was born in 1959 so I missed the Vietnam war by just a bit. I went to Texas A&M University in Fall of '78 and was in the Corp (Aggie Band) there. I was pursuing a commission when I blew out my knee due to Rugby and a dance injury (wild country dancing can do a lot of damage). Therefore, i lost my commission change and left the Corp/TAMU.

I applied later on for the Air Force but was declined due to other reasons.

I applied to the Fort Worth Police Academy, also.

The short answer is I have not had the privilege to serve.
