There is something wrong about wearing a feathery pouch... Especially a bright yellow one....lol

Next you need to gut the creature.

I do not have a picture of the next steps, but they consists of:
- Turning the Cookie Monster inside out, (including his arms and legs)
- Then sew the arms and legs up close to the body
- Next cut off the arms and legs
- Turn him right side out
- Sew on a strap
You end up with something like this:

Man, you could do that in WalMart on the way to the register after capturing the beast! My question is will the gut pile work as bait for Animal? Also, have Teddy Ruxpins gone the way of the Dodo bird, or are they still out there? I have an idea...those things were creepy enough but as a sporran complete with animitronics, well, you get the idea.

Farlander, Great work! I can't wait to see some pix of your new sporran being worn (hopefully not to a children's event)
Whidbey78, If you can make an animatronic Teddy Ruxpin... well THAT would be a serious feat, I don't care if they're now protected.

Considering that all I need are the face and a few simple controls, most of which I can scavenge from prior robotics projects, it might not be as hard to make as it will be to find the critter. I saw one at a thrift store while looking for a suit jacket to modify a few months ago, but it was pretty well beat up. It may be too valuable as a collectable in good condition to skin for a project. I'll research it.
Plus, once the servos, controller and batteries are installed there won't be any room left for storage unless I use most of the head. And a talking, blinking, eye moving sporran would be really really creepy. I try not to scare small children except on Halloween.

I believe you missed the WIP steps. We do, indeed have a complete full mask cookie monster sporran. What I do not believe we've seen is a photo with said sporran in use.

I am the proud owner of an old growth Cookie Monster pelt myself and have often considered making it into a sporran. Mine is already a puppet, shaping the bottom and installing a zipper to facilitate later use would be fairly straightforward.
I too can hear Elsie's scandalous outburst at the sight of such a beastie, but it would be worth it.

Michael, if you take another class with Elsie, you HAVE to wear that. I can just hear her.....

There is nothing that can make Teddy Ruxpin be not creepy
