I agree. I don't have a problem with the look in general, other than the boots. I don't think they look right with the hose. And they catch the flashes!
He does have good taste in adult beverages, though.

There are a lot of guys dressed like this at the Texas Scottish Festival in Arlington. Maybe I've gotten used to the look, but I have no issue with it. I see it as a blending of cultures.

Dean, I saw a lot of them as well. It doesn't look bad in our atmosphere but anywhere else in the world I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be as accepted.
Did you see the guy wearing a nice formal kit but tennis shoes instead of dress shoes/ghillies?

Agreement, they don't match the outfit very well. Beyond that I think he pulls it off quite well excpet a proper Guinness should be in an Imperial pint glass but sometimes ya gotta dance with who brung ya.
