That darn tune!
The same tune that Kyra learned from her father when she was child..., the tune that Hera had written out, ... the tune that Starbuck use to find earth,... the tune that drew the 4 together before they realized they were cylons,.. that darn tune, ... I can't get it out of my head!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Riding into the Sunset
So, next Friday, 3/20 all our questions get answered with the 2 hour season finale of BSG! It’s been a great ride, even with my skepticism this last final season. There is a special Monday (3/16) at 10 AM, Battlestar Galactica, The Last Frakkin’ Special.
Tonight’s episode reminds me of rounding up the posse to go get the bad guys and save the young maiden.

BSG Last Frakkin’ Special
Wow! The BSG Last Frakkin’ Special was awesome! Hope you saw it. Interviews with the cast, producers and directors, and a peek into the series finale.
SciFi has a marathon, Friday all day with BSG. The last Frankkin’ special repeats at 7 PM, encore of last Friday’s episode at 8 PM and the 2 hour finale at 9 PM, EDST.
They have promised an ending we didn’t see coming. All this happened before and will happen again. The pipes are calling and we will know the truth.

I did see the special...it was great! I particularly liked the spot on the show's music, how it pretty much incorporated all styles through the course of the show, even celtic.

DON'T Read if you haven't seen the final episode. I don't want to influence your watching it..
--------------------
It's finished. But wait there's more -- another two hour episode??!!!
BSG is the best sci-fi show ever. The final episode is deep!!!
I totally dig it that they played the musical theme from the old BSG towards the end!

OK DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEE NTHE LAST EPISODE!!!!!
Ok, so my question is this.....The "astro projections" of six and baltar...angels?...Demons?.....or both?
And I guess we know now that Kara was an "angel" right?...I'm still confused...but only a little. I wish it did a little more wrapping up on the characters though..
Here's something else.....Chief (Galen) goes off to be by himself on an "Island" that is cold and in the highlands......could this be the region that would become known as "Tyrol".....Hmmmmmmmm Something to think about....ok I may be reading WAAY too much into it...
So long old friend......

I gotta say, I really liked the ending...mostly. I agree Meinf - loved the original theme music as the ships head off into the sun. And Chad, I had the same question about the projections...plus Baltar's line, "You know he doesn't like being called that"....hmmmm.
I'm not overly happy with the whole Starbuck arc - being an angel is kinda like wimping out. But I loved how the translation of the music into the numbers was the coordinates for a funny little planet called...Earth.

Spoiler alert
---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
Athena on Boomer -- poetic justice!! Boomer did pay Adama back when he needed it most -- making it easy at the very end.
Galen on Tori --- I didn't see that coming! In parallel to Ellen and Tigh.
Yeah - Starbuck arc was sort of a wimp out --- BUT, still consistent with the whole story of God/Gods/Angels. Although would it have been less of a wimp out if there was another resurrection machine and other cylons elsewhere that caused Starbuck to get resurrected? That line to me would be consistent. Because in the end (in this cycle at least), Cavil and the cylons**; and the freed cylons/centurions are still out there and if the theme holds - it's happened before and it will happen again. They go their separate ways and perhaps evolve differently and intersect again.
What's so profound to me was the idea that something/somebody is playing with all their lives and destinies. [Not unlike the Bad Wolf in Doctor Who. I love that concept. Not unlike The Matrix either]
There's a quite a few unanswered questions still...
** Although they may have perished near the black hole...
