Good plan.
A bespoke tailor I know issues two receipts if required - one with the real price as paid, and the other with the 'ideal' price to leave lying around for the wife to find so that she can congratulate her hubby for the bargain he has just acquired.
This works well - until an anxious customer rushes into the shop to instruct the tailor to quote the 'ideal' price to his wife, who is on her way in to order a suit for herself. Hubby has to stump-up the difference to maintain his ruse. True story and a caution to us all.

Well under what I expected.
I think, on my years of watching sporrans on Ebay, that's the first one like that I've seen.

Agree 100%. It has been a fun thread to follow.
Still waiting on that perfect "hunting" sporran.

Murray of Atholl sporran
Saw a beautiful regimental sporran associated with the Murray of Atholl. It had five tassels and the modern crest. Would love to find it with the mermaid rather than the semi-savage.

An Atholl Highlanders sporran? How cool would that be!

Thanks!
I think it was Kyle who had his stunning bespoke Margaret Morrison hunting sporran up on Ebay a while back, but it was priced accordingly.
The grist for this thread's mill is sellers who don't know the value of what they have.
