He'd look so much better in a kilt!
A friend who regularly sees me kilted told me today of an encounter that had made her think of me. She was walking through the city on what was a fairly cold morning when she saw a man of mature years approaching. He was wearing short shorts and long socks. What came instantly to her mind was - "he'd look so much better if he was wearing a kilt". And she realised that it was seeing me regularly in the kilt that had probably prompted that thought.
Now this was the same lady who used regularly to try to tease me that I was wearing a skirt (as I reported in an earlier thread -seehttp://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/a...x.html?t=31064) but, as I noted in that thread, she clearly appreciates smart dressing.
I enjoyed the compliment.

Wouldn't most men? ;)
Good to see you're spreading the word! It's amazing how once people get accustomed to something unusual it works its way into their common thoughts...

The only short shorts a grown man should wear are running shorts (and some shouldn't wear those).

I often think that everyone would look better in kilts than some of the shorts I see people wearing -especially those god-awful long ones.

I often say the same thing. But you have to remember that I am prejudice.

It has always been my opinion that considering today's fashions, (and we're talking about the outright casual fashions treads of baggy cargo shorts, ugly jeans, down-to-the-knees-showing-the-underwear-shorts, sleep-pants, etc., etc.,), that a good looking kilt makes a better appearance.

Fashions in shorts have certainly changed over the years but kilts maintain all their basics.

So do you think, when I do wear trousers, I'm wearing them too high?
