Last Monday through Friday, I took a backpacking trip in the Myakka River State Forest in southwestern Florida.



And thanks to the generosity of tundramanq, I did it in a Mountain Hardwear Elkommando kilt.

The kilt was cool enough during the days (highs in the 80s) and warm enough in the evenings (lows in the high 50s). But the most amazing thing to me was that the kilt looked as good on day 5 as it did on day 1. I probably should add that it looked good enough to wear around town on day 1.
