My wife suggested that we have a St. Andrew's Day Scotch tasting and we got together with four other couples tonight on the eve of St. Andrew's Day.
it was a blast! Everyone wore some tartan, though I was the only one fully kilted out in Red Robertson kilt, argyle socks, regimental style tie, white shirt and green corduroy vest with black brogues and sporran.

We had potato and leek soup, fish spreads, shortbreads and lots of scotch.

We had 18 different types on hand (the result of a lot of international travel and duty free shops). The favourites were the Glenrothes Three Decades, the Connoiseur Choice 1993, the Glenlivet Nadurra, the Glenfidich Solara Reserve 15 year old, and for the less experienced tasters, the Cardhu 12year old. Conversation flowed easily and a grand time was had by all!
We also checked out a lot of tartans online and one person in particular is likely to make a purchase soon.
