You live in a dangerous part of the world. Merely having the ability to "just drop by" USA Kilts would certainly increase my wardrobe, and decrease my bank account, significantly.
The outfit looks great!

Yes indeed!
I'm safely 3,000 miles away, though last spring when I was visiting Gettysburg I certainly thought long and hard about making the drive up there.
That's an interesting tartan. I notice it has an alternating single track/double track thing like Black Watch does.

Partial note from the STA:
Registered with TECA on 10 March 1993. Based on the Black Watch which served at the Battle of Bushy Run, near Pittsburgh, in 1763, thus assuring western Pennsylvania and the 'Ohio Country' for Great Britain.
And you'll have to stop by next time you're in the area, OC Richard. The pain only lasts for a second as the card gets swiped. Then it's over (at least until the bill comes) and you have fun new toys. ;)

Agreed. I get the urge to "drop by" every time I'm up in Harrisburg. It's a great tartan. I have a 8yd myself. Wear it with Commonwealth pride.

It takes about 20 minutes or so to drive over to USA Kilts from my town & I have to drive by the shop to go to our friend's house . The temptation is indeed great ! I love that the tartan represents a great piece of state history . Now I am hunting for a Pennsylvania themed pin to go with it .

Ha! Last time I visited North America, on the east side for Kilt Kamp this year some may recall, I "dropped in on" Robert in Stratford ON, and bent the plastic to accommodate a hemp kilt and ranger belt; "called by" the Museum in Franklin NC to pick up some on-line shopping they were holding for me; and "swung through" Spring City PA just to meet Rocky on my way to Woodstock, and, you guessed it, dinged the plastic a bit more for some crucial additions to the wardrobe.
I suggest, OC Richard, you dream not that 3,000 miles gives you immunity, and the pain - why, it's merely a pin-prick!

Yes now that yinz are talking about it, I regret not making the extra drive.
Hmmm... how far is USA Kilts from Gettysburg? (EDIT: online calculator says it'll be around a 2.5 hour drive.)
Gettysburg itself was quite a haul from my Mom's house in central West Virginia, but it was a side-trip I had been meaning to do for years. I visit her every spring, timed so that I can attend the West Virginia Highland Games in Bridgeport, and Bridgeport is halfway to Gettysburg, so I made it a combination trip.
Rocky, it seems like the Celtic Fest in Bethlehem (Sept 27 & 28 2014) are large Games in your area, plenty of pipe bands, which is my thing. Do you set up a booth there? Perhaps that would make a great side-trip next year. Is it a good XMarkers event? One would think so.
