Dayton Hamvention 2014
It is that time again for the Amateur Radio convention in Dayton, Ohio, USA. This will be my 44th year of continuous attendance. I know some of the members here are Amateur Radio operators. Through the years I have observed a few kilted attendees. Not many but there are one or two brave soles. I have been wearing a kilt to the event for at least four years if I recall. This year will be no different. So I wonder if I will be the only one kilted this year? I will find out this weekend. Last year I think I was the only one out of about 17,000 in attendance over the three days.
Now and then I run across a picture of me and the kilt that someone took that finds it way out to Google. Just came across this one the other day. It is from 2012 where the author wrote a review of the event that year. My picture, taken from the back, is about half way down the page.
