Coincidence and kilt.
Last weekend, for the third time this year I travelled by coach to and from London. On the return trip a couple seated opposite said they were also on their third London coach weekend trip that year and each time they had been on the same coach as I had on at least one of the journeys. There are no prizes for guessing how they knew.

This was taken of me with one of the presenters at the workshop I as attending at her request. (The kilt pin went awol on the journey there, in, I suspect, the somewhat crowded tube.)
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

It's good to hear that you had a good journey. Sorry about the kilt pin loss. I lost one of mine earlier this year while at a music concert. :-(
I did pick up a tip, somewhat recently, with regards to helping prevent kilt pin loss: stick a small piece of a wide rubber band through the pin, on the inside of the kilt. If the clasp comes undone, the rubber piece will serve as an extra layer of prevention against pin-loss. A few times since trying this, I've arrived at home with my pin's clasp undone, but the pin itself was still on reasonably snugly!
(Full credit for the tip goes to RockyR at USA Kilts, who posted a video demonstrating this at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wecVvx4hdM).
Cheers!

I had the elastic and have had the same experience with regard to the catch coming undone, regrettably this time it didn't work. I was maneuvering two bags in a very crowed space on the tube. From now on I am going to stick a small piece of Blu-Tack on the roll over part of the clasp on all my pins.

I've lost two kilt pins this year and finally made my own out of a celtic cross necklace. It seems to be working just fine for right now.
