measurements...
This might seem like a silly question, but I've searched for it in various threads and can't find an answer....
When making the kilt and checking the final measurements around the pleated area - the bit that usually curves. Do you measure from left to right apron at the waist and fell around the curve ( as with the cloth measure in the photo below) or simply straight across (as with the wooden ruler in the photo).
I'd say follow the curve... but am I right?

PS: I'm almost sure Barbara T. always adds half an inch to the hip measurement when making (maybe the waist too) but like wise I can't find the tread again...
