Thank-you
One of the members posted photos last week of his waist coat and in particular with a "button hole" for the t-bar of his watch chain to go through......I thought the idea so clever I went to our local tailor and asked if she would do that to one of my waist coats.
She's just a young gal and had never seen that done on a waist coat before. Of course most of the waist coats the younger generation wears doesn't have such because they don't wear a pocket watch.........she thought it was very clever as it puts much less stress on an actual button hole if a chain and fob need a slot to go through.
She even matched the thread outlining the button hole as close as possible to the colour of the waist coat, so if a watch chain wasn't worn, the hole would be almost invisible ......I thought that was very clever of her. I am so pleased I think I'll have the same done to my other waistcoat
I wish I could remember who the member was that posted the photos of his waist coat, so I could thank him personally and give him due credit ......
It's this kind of help that makes this site such a pleasure and valuable resource
