I don't know if they are counted in your British Army. Both were part of the British Army but both operated somewhat separately on the ground, especially at the end of the war when they led the Allied drive to Germany ... the "Hundred Day Push", largely in Belgium.
Having revisited Wiki, it seems that 8.7 million enlisted from the UK and the empire countries.

I've done a rough count of the kilted battalions from the UK, but I have no idea how many from Dominions there were.

Also I don't know what the average turnover rate for a battalion was. (It would vary tremendously depending on what sort of service a battalion was engaged in.)

There a lot of unknowns here. This website gives an indication of numbers at top level https://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/army...the-great-war/ but what we don’t know is how many kilts were replaced due to battlefield wear and tear? Were they discarded or repaired. What happened to kilts taken from casualties who were subsequently discharged. Soldiers were also transferred as battalions were amalgamated due to high casualties and so on. There are thousands of soldiers laying buried where they died or in unmarked graves. They are frequently being discovered and the MoD war detectives with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission are working hard to reunite them with their descendants.

    See Post#10 for Canadian Battalions.
They were usually in "hot" places ... Ypres Saliant, Arras area of Picardy ... a lot of turnover, alas.
