Sudsy's first experiences embracing his ancestral craziness!

My first venture wearing my kilt in which I have a picture was at the July 4th Independence Day (US) Parade in my hometown of North Pole Alaska (about 20 miles south of Fairbanks). That morning, I wore it more formally with my suit coat (though it happens to be just a plain suit coat, nothing special...).

Crazy as it looks, those toe shoes rock! In fact, thats what I wore with my Hiking Kilt (Sportkilt's Pacific Blue Hiking Kilt) for the 40 mile/64 kilometer Equinox Ultramarathon last Saturday with my wife:

She ran the Equinox Marathon for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's Team Hope, and here is a local article about the team she was with:

My wife knocked it out in 4h:24m:13s! So, the only way I can 'beat' her is to sign up for the longer race. Knocked my Ultra out in 10h:03m:14s... While wearing a kilt!
