The theatrical costumes are interesting. The kilts are all worn up to the ribs as done in olden times. The range of tartan is fascinating I wish I could identify more of it.
It's been ages since I last saw the movie on TV. It looks great on a UHD flatscreen. I wish shows like it were still coming out of Hollywood. Broadway show music is my favorite next to opera. Any others here share a liking for the melodies?
Benning Boy,
I also just finished watching the same showing of Brigadoon on TCM. I enjoy watching it whenever I can. Unfortunately, I only caught it because I happened to wake up about two hours early in order to prepare for work. It is going to be a slow day.
Anyway, the only time I ever saw the play production was at my old high school production in 1971. I was only in the eighth grade. So it has been a while. I remember I liked it a lot. Kind of wish I could be 13 again and watch it over. But I guess that is not going to happen. And, besides, I did not have my kilts then. So I guess I better stay barely this side of sixty.
Hope you all have a good day and a better weekend.
Tom
