    Two New Kilts!

So it all started off with wanting a Kilt in the Nova Scotia tartan. One that I would get married in. So I got ahold of Brandon over at B&S and went in to get measured up. I was Measured, and the waiting for my "Balmoral" hand sewn 8yrd'er began.

Then.... They had a Casual Kilt sale.... How could I turn up a 16oz MacLeod Modern (My Clan) for 199.... Well, I couldnt. So in to the Shop I went again and got one ordered right up...

That was all back in March. Today I got a call that my Kilts were ready for pick up. So I did what any other Soldier would do, I told my Warrant Officer I'd be an hour late after lunch!

To excited to put together a proper outfit, here you have me in my Nova Scotia 8 Yard hand sewn... with Canadian Army Green Tee Shirt...

It is pleated to the Red Line. I'll get pics of those after!

Now we have me in the Macleod...

They are excellent quality. I'm very happy with the end result!

Nice kilts. Did you mirror image the pictures just to confuse us?
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Thor271: Those are great looking kilts! Can't wait to see the "after" pics.

I'm particularly happy to read that you are satisfied with the quality. I, too, ordered a Macleod Modern from the B&S Casual Kilt sale. Like you wrote, it was hard to say "no". I just sent Brandon a note bugging him about my shipping date. ;) MacLeod is not my clan (Douglas), but I love the tartan.

I hope you are not being redeployed. It's guys (and gals) like you that allow guys like me to have the freedom to think about relatively mundane things like what tartan to buy. We appreciate it. Thank you for your sacrifice. And, wherever you go, stay safe!
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all outfitted. Good luck with that move...military moves are always interesting.

Being from NS, I have wondered what a NS kilt would look like - believe it or not I have never seen one. Of course I have encountered the usual scarfs, shirts etc. Now that I see yours, I want one. Looks great. Love the bright colors. Thank you for your service (and the pics of course).
