Christmas in March
Background note: My building has become the set for the film "A Christmas Story 2". The first one was about Ralphie and the red rider bb gun
To my surprise Christmas has arrived this week. Walking out of my place I was greeted by piles of snow....ummmm, it has been well above freezing for the last week, no snow overnight.. yet it was not there when I went to bed!
Looking up and down the street I realized that I had been transported to Christmas 1946. The street lamps were covered in holly, wooden barrels were piled here and there. A giant nut-cracker is guarding my front door!
Even stranger... I was no longer in Vancouver, Canada. US flags flew from the building. Was it that my whisky supply had gone bad?

Walking over to a shop window... is it? could it be? Yes it is......a Red Ryder carbine-action, two hundred shot Range Model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing which tells time!!!!

Re: Christmas in March
I must say that the jacket goes beautifully with the Braveheart tartan!

Indeed, Trefoil. Bruce has an overall very ultra cool look. Well done.

Oh yeah. That is an all around cool look. This photograph illustrates how the flat cap is the perfect lid for those who have good taste. I love it.

Re: Christmas in March
March 9th - Day two: Despite a warm, rainy night there is even more snow outside. Somehow the traffic looks different today.

Has too much wearing of the kilt caused me to slip back in time? Is tartan the ultimate time machine?
A woman and her young son walked by... I heard her say "Ralphie, you will shoot your eye out with that Red Rider BB gun"

Re: Christmas in March
For any fans of the '80's movie "A Christmas Story" a heads up. Christmas Story 2 in being filmed. I think I saw one or two of the original actors on the street today.
