$65.00/yard
Are we talking about ordering the $65.00/yard wool stuff Matt spoke about?

I just got off the phone with Gordon.
Here are the prices he quoted me.
X Marks Tartan - with the Sett adjusted to move the white line off the Selvdge.
14oz./lin. meter
Less than 55 meters = $57.00cdn/meter = $40.00usd
more than 55 meters = $27.00cdn/meter = $40.00usd
16oz./lin.meter
Less than 50 meters = $62.00cdn/meter = $44.00usd
More than 50 meters = $52.00cdn/meter = $53.00usd
Please remember that if I end up handling the money, orders, cutting, boxing and shipping, I will need to add a 10% fee for my labor.
To get the lower price we will need at least 12 people to pay before I will give Gordon the go-ahead.
note - If this run happens I will be ordering a little extra (2-3 kilts worth) to keep in my shop for people who can't order right now/join after the run. That will be out of my pocket and is not part of the 12 orders we will need.

Steve, I don't think this figure is correct.

Based on the USD value, I'd say Steve meant to say the cost for the 14-oz is the same whether he orders less than 55 meters or more than 55 meters from F&K, namely $47CDN/$40USD. Looks like just a typo...
Also, it looks like the USD amounts got flip-flopped on the 16-oz. I believe it should read,
Less than 50 meters = $62.00cdn/meter = $53.00usd
More than 50 meters = $52.00cdn/meter = $44.00usd
Living in the desert, I would prefer the 14-oz, but I'm in for either weight. Just let me know who to pay & how much!

OHHHH YYYEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!!!
16! 16! 16! 16! 16! 16! 16! 16!
(The earlier run was 14, so some us WILL be in for a 16 that would not be for a 14.)
If 16, I WILL buy 2 meters! (Maybe 4)
(My wife will kill me either way, but she'll STILL get the bill!)
Also, note, there is not THAT much difference between 2 oz, but it WILL make the kilt hold a pleat better (esp. with F & K fabric).
For some reason, F&K feels lighter than it really is. One kiltmaker even WEIGHTED it to make sure it really WAS 14 oz, because it "feels" like a lighter weight.
16 is also IDEAL weight for a 4 yard box pleat!!
(I see a poll between 14 and 16 coming, but ONLY by those getting fabric!)

You are correct, My poor arithmetic skills are showing.
You would think my engineering degree would count for something huh?
Anybody got a spare slide rule?
14oz
less than 55 mtrs.= $57.00cdn = $48.00usd
more than 55 mtrs. = $47.00cdn = $40.00usd
16oz.
less than 50 mtrs. = $62.00cdn = $53.00usd
More than 50 mtrs. = $52.00cdn = $44.00usd
For some reason I cannot edit my original post. I had all these figures corrected and it just got hung up saving. Then the phone rang and all your guys cought my mistakes.
