Amerikilt?
Okay. Im currently awaithing of Kilt #7 )A Premier kilt from Rocky in his American Heritage tartan). To take my mind off the wait, I've been looking around for the next one. Has anyone had any experience dealing with Amerikilt? Some feedback would be awesome.

I purchased an Amerikilt in the Tiger Strip Camo (no long offered). It’s a light weight and I enjoy wearing in the hot summers here in Virginia. No complaints here and would buy another. I do enjoy the matching ‘tartan’ sporran. Below is a picture of it with Jerry of the Forum at last year’s Williamsburg Scottish Festival.

I have a black AK myself. I found their service to be excellent, and I really like my kilt. I, unlike Mael Coluim, do not like the matching sporran. I have a set of sporran hangers from Stillwater Kilts that fit into the chrome rings and hang a conventional sporran really well. I prefer that. So, since this is a very visually oriented forum, here's a picture:

I would love to buy another one. As was stated in the previous post, they are a nice light weight and are great on hot days.
Oh yeah- I don't know about the others, but my black one shines up really well. It's easy to dress it up or down. It looks as good with a Prince Charlie as it does with an Iron Maiden t shirt.

Does an Amerikilt have pockets?

I have a tan Amerikilt. No problem with my order: I got what I ordered in a timely manner. I have nothing bad to say about them. The kilt is put together well, though the fabric is on the light side. That being said, it is a great summer kilt, or for when you may be active. Enjoy!

One rear pocket with a velcro-fastened flap. I have a khaki and an olive and I love the comfort they offer in this equatorial heat.
Actually AKs are the only kilt I have at the moment.

I wear a digital US Marine Corps MARPAT AmeriKilt and LOVE it. I got it locally, as he was a vendor at an annual CCA gathering in my home town. Service was top notch and you couldn't beat the cost with a stick. I play paintball in it and it has withstood briars, thorns, multiple paintball assaults, water, mud, rocks, roots, snow and ice....
Enjoy:
