    Postal Kilts?

A friend at the office gave me a copy of an article from the Boston Globe, dated July 21. It is titled "Mailman Seeks Comfort in Kilt". Mail carrier Dean Peterson of Lacey, WA is lobbying to get the kilt authorized for mail carrier wear. He indicates that women carriers can wear skirts, but men are denied the right to wear kilts. There is a photo showing a postal blue kilt with a light blue shirt, belt, but no sporran. Interesting. Is there a way the rabble can support his cause?

Actually, you're something like three threads late on this. There is a thread lurking somewhere with just such a picture.

I was looking at 'Scottish Tartans Authority' website yesterday and found a tartan specific for US Postal Service. I'll try to put up a link. wish me luck.

    http://www.tartansauthority.com
Then click on the ferret (I know, it's a little wierd), then click on a-z, then on the letter U. It'll show all the US registered tartans including one that says US Postal Service.

I hope the link works. Never tried one before.
