New Dr. Who - Tardiswear?
In off - off - off topic news, the new incarnation of Dr Who has been seen in costume for perhaps the first time and is causing quite a stir. Why? He's been see sporting a tweed jacket, rolled up pant cuffs, work boots and - wait for it - a bow tie!
Now if we could just get him in a kit... oh well... stand a little taller all you bow tie daddies - looks like you have company!

I'm going to miss David Tennant. He was really brilliant in that role. Then again, I said the same thing when I found out Chris Eccelston was leaving, and David far exceeded any expectations I had for him.

Wow they seem so young! Hopefully this guy will stick around for a while. If we stay on canon, the Doctor only has one regeneration left!
His new assistant is mighty cute though!

I hate to play my uber-geek card, but he's got two more lives after the new guy... 12 regenerations makes 13 lives (each actor 'regenerates' into the next, meaning the 13th actor is the one that finishes things). Unless of course they find a good excuse and keep on keeping on....

Perhaps they are hoping that by the time they run out of regenerations those of us who have been counting will not be around to point that out.
I am glad that the Dr Whos have been getting better in the last few years - some of them in the middle decades were rather lacking, sadly.

I won't bore you with production background. ...but I could.
Oh! I meant to say, 'yes!'.
The recent stuff has been a lot of fun.

Good call! (on both points ) I think they have altered the 12 generation canon. At least that was the impression I got when the Doctor was talking about regeneration. I can't remember if it was Christopher's or David's Doctor. The impression that I got was he just keeps regenerating (till the series is canceled for good) Anyway, the show has clearly showed the Master regenerating and he was supposedly at or beyond his 12th gen. during the Peter Davidson era. The way the show has been going in this latest incarnation; that is one point I will gladly overlook.

Slips on geek hat
Ah, but at the time of the fourth doctor, the Master was barely holding on to the end of his last regeneration, until he stole the body of Tremas. I have to admit, I haven't been following closely enough to determine what has happened recently.
And Jamie, a highlander, did wear a kilt and was the companion of the second Doctor.

(another geek hat?) Ah, but there was one episode in which the Master nearly destroyed Gallifrey, and in the process released huge amounts of some form of energy, which restored his body.
Btw, I started watching the series in the mid-70's when it was first shown in the U.S.A. Tom Baker was the current Doctor at the time, and it was several years before I got to see the prior two. But I do recall Jamie being with him, as well as Leila. Did he pop up with the second Doctor?
