Hamilton's of Galasheils Kilts are sold through many web retailers, including the gold bros, but for the price, they are an excellent value.

I really like the brooch/kilt pin. I'm slowly switching to something other than swords also. Can we get a shot of the pleats? Sounds interesting!

It looks really nice from here. Good to get a good value. The fabric is so light I have not seen one that hangs like wool.

I agree, they do; but this is not made in the same way as the Heritage kilts that GB sell. I have a couple of those as well so I can compare directly.

It's also marketed with a different label and the materiel is a different and arguably better weave in my opinion. This kilt 'feels' much more wool-like than the heritage kilts I have and is 100 times better than the rather nasty acrylic Kilt I bought recently at twice the price!

I have no idea of the mill but at this price I assume it's not British. The label states "65% Viscose rayon, 35% Polyester" Photo's to follow.

OK. Now you come to mention it and on closer inspection, the pleating is a bit of a mish-mash but I think the 5 red stripes flanked by the yellow/white stripes down the centre of the back of the kilt makes for an interesting effect and draws your eye away from the fact the rest of the pleating is a bit random... The yellow/white every 5th pleat also helps to balance it out. It'll do for down the pub.

    The labels are also pictured.

I agree... it's probably completely random pleating (we'd have to order another to see for sure) but, I think it somewhat artistic nonetheless: kinda like a fractal or some such other 'natural' phenomena observed by chance. A nice looking kilt!
The spirit of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) abides today, defiantly resisting any tyranny that would disarm, disperse and despoil proud people of just morals, determined to keep the means of protecting their families and way of life close at hand.
