We are basking in glorious sunshine in Scotland just now which makes a change. It is usually the other way round with England complaining about droughts and hosepipe bans. As Hamish says building more houses in flood-prone areas is sheer madness and you can only feel sorry for all the families left homeless. Thank God it is nothing like what happened in New Orleans.
