Waiting for a new kilt
I have had a 5 yard length of double-width tartan laying around for a while.. well, actually two lengths in two different tartans. I bought these to use as great kilts but I find that I don't wear the great kilt as often as I thought I would. So, I contacted these folks to see how much it would cost to have one of these lengths made into an 8 yard tank and they said the total cost would be $200 USD and they would include tartan flashes.
This poses two questions:
1. How long do you think this would take? Is it still about 6 to 8 weeks even though I am supplying all of the tartan (no waiting to weave the tartan)?
2. Where do I buy patience? I find myself full of anticipation when waiting for a kilt to arrive.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to adding this kilt to my collection.. too bad I can't sleep until it arrives
