I used to wonder what I do if a situation arose where I saw someone being attacked. Would I intervene, or would I stand back and call for help. Well, the other day, I found out. I work at Wal-mart, in the automotive department, two young punks came to the store looking for one of my co-workers. They found him in one of the aisles of my department, and attacked him, punching and knocking him down and kicking him. I had only a couple of seconds to decide, but I stepped right in and stood over him telling them to both leave him alone and to leave the store. The "lead" instigator asked me "do you want some of this old man?" he then attempted to push me away using both of his hands against my chest. Now, I am not a small man, 5ft 10in tall and about 280lbs. So, his push did not do much. The two punks were escorted from the store by a group of us and the police were called. So now I know what I would do, and I feel more at ease with myself in all kinds of situations.
