    Sure hope someone doesn't offer the suggestion that you might've been hurt for doing what was clearly the right thing.

    I've been in the same situation more than once and I've always stood right by my friend.

    Somewhere in Leviticus I believe, it states that you shall not stand by while your neighbor bleeds.

    I am a veteran of an ugly armed conflict. I have no fear of stepping up to the plate for what is right. Whether I know the person or not. Until fairly recently, I was a four minute miler at 6' 1" and 140 Lbs. Speed made up for the lack of size in many situations here in the city. Now I have the size,190 lbs, but not the speed . I still can control a very big punk on occasion, then hand him over to the local law enforcement officer.

    You certainly acted correctly for yourself, for your employer, and for your co-worker.
