If you're in Aberdeen, I'd recommend you have a look at Alex Scott at the corner of Schoolhill and Back Wynd. The kilt department is on the top floor of the building, and the kilts are made on the premises by a skilled kiltmaker named Margot Brodie - well worth a visit and an excellent quality product. My own first kilt was from them.
