Bow tie
Do bow ties count as kilt accessories? Intending on wearing one to the upcoming Burns Night Supper, so I hope so In any case I just purchased my first bow tie. Someone on this forum had mentioned Beau Ties of Vermont, so I checked them out and found a tie I loved. I'd link a pic here so you could see the detail, but it appears to be sold out. It was a vintage fabric, I so I guess maybe they ran out. Lucky I ordered when I did! http://www.beautiesltd.com/PRODUCT.ASPX?pn_deptid=7500 shows a similar fabric... mine looks more or less the same, except the blue on blue pattern is much subtler.

That's a pic of what I'll be wearing in a couple weeks, including my spankin' new bow tie. Never actually tied one on before, as I've only ever worn pre-tied or clip ons And the instructional videos left me more confused than if I had just tried to tie it on never having seen how. Anyway, I finally finagled it to look ok. Not great, but that comes with practice.
The little lady loves a man in a bow tie, so hopefully having one and knowing how to tie it up will earn me a few kudo points
