I know!! I waited until the last minute; but circumstances put it beyond my control. And I'm not even Jonesing for myself!!!!

A wonderful lady I have been "sort of" dating informed me that I am expected to be at her house Christmas morning to have breakfast and what not with her family. Her sister, her son, her daughter and son-in-law, and the twin grand daughters are all flying in for the holidays. I'm not supposed to bring anything except maybe the cream puffs I make that she likes so much. Well.... couple days ago she let it slip that she started a Christmas stocking for me, so now I am scrambling to come up with something to reciprocate.

She has gotten quite used to seeing me kilted, and has taken a passive interest in her own familial background. Thanks to the internet and hours spent researching, I have been able to identify the true family crest/coat of arms (not the "send us $30 and we will design one for you" version). Unfortunately, there is no family tartan. E-mailing her sister on the sly, I was able to find out what part of Ireland the family came from.

What does all this have to do with Jonesing?? She mentioned that she was looking for a scarf to go with her red coat. I ordered a scarf from the Scottish Tartan Museum this morning in her county tartan. I know that M.A.C. and staff will work their magic and get it in the delivery system as soon as possible. I'm just hoping that I didn't wait too long if it's not in their current inventory. That's it. Just my own fault for not seeing this situation develop earlier. Been on my own for seven years and forgot how to read a woman's mind (if a man can ever really do that). If she is still around next year, I will start earlier.... like maybe in June for Christmas!!
