I see, Heath. This is one more of my arguments that Games in the Southeast US of A. should be held in November and March.

The heat did break here, it dropped to 94F. The trick is to think in centigrade, see, it's only 34. There, now you can wear a jacket.
On a more serious note, I do enjoy wearing a jacket with my kilt. At work, I wear clothes that are durable, safe, and will get dirty. On my farm, I wear the same. So when I take my betrothed out I like to put on my best. She is a fine looking woman, and I feel that I should look worthy. Thanks for the links, I will follow up on them.

I had these 2 jackets and waistcoats made in Bali recently. They are made from light summer weight wool and are as light as a feather. I have worn one back here in Australia and actually felt a bit cold, it's the middle of winter here.
As stated in another thread, they were A$90.00 each and fully tailored

I would love to have a linen, seersucker or silk bend kilt jacket. I think about it every spring.

If I had the pattern to make kilt jackets, I'd have already made myself a linen one.

I hope nobody's wanting a seersucker kilt; just a seersucker jacket.

Well done!
I'd say the sleeves are a tad too long, but that is easily remedied.
I was thinking about Bali as a place to get jackets made up on the cheap- did you give them something to copy or a pattern of any kind? We went there as children and we all had leather jackets made (we were kids, it was "cool" and we were told they could make anything, especially if they were copying!) Bangkok would be another option, I guess, but I've never been there (aside from in the airport in transit).
My dad always came back with new suits and shirts when he passed through Hong Kong. I normally go through Singapore (because of Singapore Airlines!) and have to seriously restrain myself there. (I've bought 3 shirts made so far... oh, and camera lenses )
Anyway, looks like you got an excellent deal! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Michael

Oh,
I love the straight bottom edge on the waistcoats!
